Suburban Inns is a small independent pub and hotel group with venues in the West Midlands. Our newest venture, the refurbished Durham Ox is a bar and restaurant in Shrewley, Warwickshire. The new and improved facility has 220 covers, a large outside seating area and impressive function facilities.
Our menu boasts a range of mouthwatering dishes using local produce and all prepared fresh onsite. All we need now are the best hospitality staff in Warwickshire!!

We are currently looking for a talented, dynamic and experienced Sous Chef. Someone with drive and ambition who is looking to work for an exciting, independent Hotel and Pub group.
Experience and Duties?
- A calm and organised Sous Chef that will work hard to support the Head Chef and Management team, and aid in the development of the team
- Help create and cost new menus
- An experienced catering professional, who has high standards, passion, and understands the need for controlling profit and hygiene
- Understand and appreciate seasonal, quality, fresh food
- Previous experience as a Sous Chef, or Junior Sous essential
- Excellent time management, a strong work ethic and strong interpersonal skills are essential
